The original 6 hockey teams are Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadians, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers. My favourite original 6 team is the Toronto Maple Leafs, and my least favourite original 6 team is the Boston Bruins. I’m going to tell you all the names the teams have had throughout their history, starting with the Maple Leafs. Toronto’s first name was the Toronto Arena’s, after the Arena’s it was the Toronto Saint Pats, and after the Pats it turned into the Toronto Maple Leafs but in my opinion my favourite is the Saint Pats. Montreal only had two names throughout history. Their first name was the Club De Hockey Canadian and after that it became The Montreal Canadians. Detroit had three names in total and there first one is probably my favourite, it was The Detroit Cougars. After that they went to The Detroit Falcons and in 1932, they changed it to The Detroit Red Wings. The New York Rangers have had two names and their first one was the Texas Rangers but then after some years they changed it to The New York Rangers. Only two teams have stuck with their names throughout their history and those teams were the Chicago Black Hawks and the Boston Bruins. This is how many Stanley Cups each team has won. The Montreal Canadians have won the most Stanley cups. They have won 23, then Toronto has won 13, after that Detroit has won 11, then Boston and Chicago have won 6, and finally The Rangers have won 4.

What my pregame looks like is I like to get there an hour early for games because I like stretching and taping my stick and that takes a little bit. Once I do that, most of my team gets there so we do our team warm up. When we finish that we start to get dressed. I like getting my bottom half of equipment on then I go out and warm up my stick handling. After about 5 minutes of that I go and get the rest of my equipment on, and our team gets lined up to go on the ice. Me and my friend go first in line to fist bumb everyone the me and him to a handshake. After we do that, we go do our warm up on the ice. Our warm up one ice is everyone does some laps around our zone then we line up on each side of the boards. Once we line up along the boards, we go around the blue line dot and give the one person without a puck a pass and they take a shot at our goalie to arm him up. After a bit of that my goalie goes and stretches his legs and everyone takes shots on the net. That is my pregame warm up.

I am from the sounds of the ice crunching, 

Underneath my skates. 

The sticks banging together in the corner, 

I’m from the loud sound of the puck hitting the post, 

From the crowd cheering after the puck hits the back of the net. 

I’m from the sight of my dad in the corner of the arena,  

From the sound of the boards rattling after I hit someone. 

 

I am from the sound of the bat clanging against the ball, 

The big thump when you slid into second base, 

I’m from the sound of “I got it, I got it”. 

I’m from the sight of my teammate throwing the ball, 

From the smell of fresh cut grass 

 

I am from all the head injuries to all the leg injuries, 

From all the airplane rides with the view of the never-ending ocean, 

From the sound of everybody clapping when the plane lands, 

 

I am from all the walks on the beach with sand between my toes, 

From the sound of waves hitting the beach, 

The view of the sunset going into the ocean, 

I’m from all the sandcastles and burying people, 

From all the dacories and eating all the food you want, 

I’m from the sad times when I have to go home. 

 

I am from the tail wags, 

All the barking at people and cars when they go pat my house, 

From jumping on me when I get home from school, 

The times when he lays in my bed with me, 

And all the times we’ve played fetch. 

 

Winter is the best because who doesn’t like snow days then going sledding with your friends for hours then coming home and getting some hot chocolate with marshmallows. More reasons why I like winter is because the best sport ever is in winter, that sport is hockey. My hockey team is pretty good. I have 10 goals and 4 assists in 8 games so that’s pretty good. Another thing I like to do is play in the snow with my friends. My favorite friend to wrestle is Brayson because it’s a fair match between us even though he normally beats me. In the winter I really like to snowboard because snowboarding is really fun but it’s way better with friends because you can race to the bottom of the hill then each time it gets harder so at the very end you will race down a black diamond. Another fun thing to do while snowboarding is seeing who can do the highest jump or who can do the best trick. A lot of the time in the winter I go to my friends odr and we play hockey until it gets too dark out where we can’t even see the pucks. Another reason why winter is the best is because Winter is my last name. More reasons why winter is the best is because you can ice fish and I find ice fishing really fun because you get to go out to the middle of the lake, then set up a tent and a fire, then use the auger to drill holes, then sit down and just jig your rod until you catch a fish. That is why winter is the best!
